Hi, I want you to meet my pet of the month. His name is Heinz, and he’ll be featured in the following segment. My name is Ledeana Strand, and I’m with Homes by Strand. And we are featuring a new pet each month that’s available for adoption at the Kitsap Humane Society.
So please meet Heinz. Hi, my name is Ashley. I’m here at the Kitsap Humane Society, and this right here is Heinz. He is a 10-month-old black mouth cur mix, and he is a super snuggly and sweet boy once you’re his friend, and he’ll stay by your side no matter what. Heinz has made many dog friends here at our shelter, and he’s super wiggly, sweet, and fun once he trusts you. He would do best in a home with a fenced in yard and no kids under 16 just because he can be a little bit nervous with new situations. Heinz came into our care with a previous leg injury that is all healed up now, but you may notice he has a special little pep in his step. Because Heinz is a little bit nervous meeting new people, we’ve had our behavior team work with him and really get him to associate strangers with something positive like treats and pets and seems to be really responding well to that. He will need a patient and dedicated adopter that will go at his own pace and make sure not to stress him out or introduce him to too many strangers at one time. If you’re interested in adopting Heinz, you can either check out our website for more information on him or come into our shelter during our regular adoption hours. If you’re unable to adopt Heinz, we just ask that you share this video so that way his forever family can find him. And if you’re interested in fostering a dog just like Heinz, please come into our shelter and speak with our customer service team.
So come on down to the Humane Society and meet Heinz. We don’t only find homes for people, we find homes for pets too. See you soon.
